The original plaster moldings date from the early 1900’s when the building was erected to house a restaurant specialized in healthy foods: fruit and vegetable are the main motif. The most famous menu item at the time (a blend of fresh vegetable juiced to order) was later licensed and bottled under the brand V8!

The Brasserie Les Halles menu is a compilation of the best classics from the brasseries in Paris. The specialty of the house is French cuts of meats, simply char-grilled served with award winning french fries. The French butchering differ mostly by the cutting being done according to each part’s texture, instead of cutting across. Many cuts are also smaller, isolating certain steaks with specific flavors, such as the Onglet (hanger steak).

The large menu accommodates all tastes, all appetites and all budgets. Les Halles on Park Ave South opened for Halloween 1990. Please join us for our wild annual birthday parties!
