History and Mission
Created in 2002, the Les Halles Cup is an annual invitational tennis tournament for junior boys and girls, 14 years old or younger. The model is a mini professional tennis tournament including a player party, promotional gifts, trophies and award ceremony. The objective of the Les Halles Cup is to inspire excitement for tennis in city youth through participation in a tournament event focused on immediate rewards and fun.
Held in conjunction with a professional tournament, the Les Halles Cup provides participants with a behind the scenes look at the world of international professional tennis and the preparation, practice and perseverance that lead to success on the court. Previous Les Halles Cup winners have gone on to compete in international junior tennis competition.
Since 2009, the Les Halles Tennis Foundation will limit its activities to being the title sponsor of Harlem Junior Tennis Tournament.
